Students participating in the Minds in Motion program

Minds in Motion Program Overview

  • Minds in Motion is a Federally Funded formally known as  Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center. The program is to supplement the education for 203 students in grades 3-5 between Schools 4, 12 & 17 from 2:50 PM to 6:00 PM.

The program aims to assist students in attaining the skills necessary to meet New Jersey's Student Learning Standards. We provide students with opportunities to explore a wide variety of STEAM activities while infusing character development into all program activities and field trips as well as a healthy snack and hot supper each day. Our program is a balanced collaboration between the school faculty,  staff and The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton.
